Oriel Davies 2015 Open Writing Competition
Closing date: 2nd November, 2015.
Prizes: £50 voucher to spend in Oriel Davies gallery shop. 1 for best poem and 1 for best poetry.
Entry fee: £3 per entry submitted.
Further info: Writers are invited to submit either poems (up to 50 lines each) or prose pieces (up to 1,000 words each) that focus on the theme of flora. Works must be typed on separate sheets of paper and not exceed the line or word limit. Ballymaloe International Poetry Prize 2015
Closing date: 31st December 2015.
Entry fee: €12.
Prizes: 1st Prize €10,000, plus three runner-up prizes of €1,000.
Further details: The prize is run in association with The Moth magazine. It is for a single unpublished poem. This year’s judge is former US poet laureate Billy Collins. The four shortlisted poems will appear in the spring issue of The Moth, and the winner will be announced at a special awards ceremony in Dublin in April 2016.
